Married to the Mob, the girls streetwear label have added their New York edge to 2 Lacoste ladies hi tops. Leah McSweeney the founder of the brand started the label out of her Spring Street apartment in 2004 and since then has taken her inspirations directly from the streets of NYC; clubs, secret hang-out spots and smoke-filler parties make MOB equal parts chic, smart mouthed, and not to be messed with style.
‘It’s a lifestyle that speaks to style-confident females everywhere’,
Leah says.
‘I have been wanting to work with lace for a while but was waiting for the
right product. Once I saw the silhouette of the LACOSTE sneaker I knew the lace idea would work perfectly for
this’ Leah explains, ‘ I always look to the high-end fashion labels for
inspiration, as I am sure they look to the street for cues as well’.
The shoes are released for just before Valentines day and will be sold on the MOB website as well as limited stores worldwide – so make a note in your diaries now.
