Originally a performance sailing shoe from the mid 1980’s, the cabestan was vulcanised in 2008 to give the classic deck shoe a new street look. Atmos were invited to work on this style and their interpretation with houndstooth material and neon highlights was only available to purchase in their Harajuku store.
ARC decided to work with us on 4 colours of our early 80’s court shoe the Ardeur. In clean colour block colours of purple, red, white, and black with bold ARC sign off on the heel, these 4 shoes were the perfect accompaniment to the preppy over sized croc branded polo shirts that were also developed.
When we looked into the possibility of creating a vinyl toy crocodile, Kidrobot were the first company on our list to approach. They were happy to look into this, however Kidrobot immediately asked if we would be happy to work on a footwear collab project to include toys and shoes.
To celebrate their 10th birthday, the globally renowned Parisian trend store Colette worked with the design teams of Lacoste to produce a limited collection of shoes and polo shirts showcasing the famous store’s canine friends Caperino & Peperone which were originally created by Kuntzel and Deygas.
