Mr. Takahashi, buyer at Freak’s Store, tells of his inspirations: ‘I planned to make a shoe that was inspired by tradition. I have added gold embroidery on the heel which lends the shoe an elegant feeling. The outcome gives this version of the René a stately quality (rather than being too directional), and the consumer can therefore co-ordinate this shoe with nautical looks or a traditional out fit in place of formal leather footwear.’
